Dr. Prasad Penmetsa graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, in India with his M.B.B.S. He trained in Internal Medicine and gastroenterology in England and obtained his MRCPI, Membership of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Dr. Penmetsa completed his gastroenterology Fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. He served as Attending Gastroenterologist Faculty at the University of Rochester Medical Center for two years before joining RGA.
Dr. Penmetsa is board certified in gastroenterology and is well trained in GI procedures including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). His clinical interests focus on esophageal disorders, pancreatobiliary diseases, VCE, viral hepatitis as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Penmetsa volunteers as teaching faculty at Unity Health System's Medicine Residency Program as well as an attending Gastroenterologist at Rochester General Hospital.
Dr. Devgun completed his undergraduate education in Electrical Engineering with honors from Iowa State University. He graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical Center (Alpha Omega Alpha) and completed General Internal Medicine training as well as advanced training in GI Motility and small bowel transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Devgun was in practice as a General Internist for two years prior to entering into a GI Fellowship.
Dr. Devgun completed his general Gastroenterology Fellowship with a focus on advanced endoscopy in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound), as well as inflammatory bowel Disease at the Albany Medical Center under the direction of Program Director, Dr. Richard McDermott.
Dr. Devgun's clinical interests focus on general gastroenterology, pancreatobiliary diseases as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Devgun volunteers as teaching faculty at Unity Health System's Medicine Residency Program as well as an attending Gastroenterologist at Unity and Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Devgun established the EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) Program at Unity Hospital in 2006
Dr. Chodos completed his undergraduate training at the University of Rochester and continued on to attend medical school at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Chodos is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist who performs all basic diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. He also performs advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound).
Amy graduated from SUNY Brockport College with her B.S.N. She received her N.P. from St. John Fisher College and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practioners (AANP) and has been a member since 2008.
Amy joined Rochester Gastroenterology Associates, LLP in 2008. Prior to joining RGA she worked for several years as an endoscopy nurse at Unity hospital.
Amy has an extensive knowledge base in many disease states including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease, and Hepatitis and colon screenings.
Amy enjoys reading and attending sporting events with her four children.
Sarah graduated from Pennsylvania State University with her B.S.N. in 2007. She went on to receive her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from St. John Fisher College in 2013. Sarah then completed her Registered Nurse First Assist at the University of Rochester. She is a member of and certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Greater Rochester.
Sarah joined Rochester Gastroenterology Associates, LLP in 2014. Prior to joining RGA, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Rochester General Hospital for six years and chaired the hospital's nurse council for two years. Once she completed her Nurse Practitioner degree, she worked for the department of surgery at Rochester General Hospital for one year before joining RGA.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and family; especially at their cottage and on the boat.
